SMA® 3000 by Cray Valley (Total Energies) is a styrene maleic anhydride copolymer. It is a copolymer of medium molecular weight with a mole ratio of roughly 3:1. It can be used to alter melt flow, enhance coupling, and enhance filler and pigment dispersion in thermoplastics. It has adhesive and water resistant qualities. Both viscosity and gloss are modified by it. SMA® 3000 is a production tool for adhesives. SMA® 1000 P by Cray Valley (TotalEnergies) is a styrene-maleic anhydride resin with a molar ratio styrene/maleic anhydride close to 1/1.
