Emulsogen EPA 1954 by Clariant is a surfactant an anionic emulsifier used in the emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate dispersions, styrene-butadiene latex, and E-PVC. It offers advantages such as low VOC content, being free of alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEO), ready biodegradability, and ease of handling. In polymerization, it enhances monomer emulsion stability, reduces coagulum formation, controls polymer particle size, and improves the viscosity of polymer dispersions. It is used in industrial applications. Emulsogen EPA 1954 has a shelf life of 730 days.
