Acronal® LN 838 S by BASF is plasticizer-free dispersion of a thermally crosslinkable copolymer from acrylic acid esters and acrylonitrile. Used in nonwoven carriers based on PET- and glass fibers, filter nonwovens, nonwovens for hygiene and medical applications, interlinings and high loft waddings. Acronal® LN 838 S offers toughness and elasticity. Acronal® 500 D by BASF is an aqueous dispersion of a copolymer based on acrylic and vinyl esters. It shows good tear resistance and high UV stability. Acronal® 500 D is recommended for use in adhesives. Acronal® 12 DE by BASF is an aqueous dispersion of a copolymer based on acrylic esters and acrylonitrile. It offers good resistance against non-polar organic solvents, high toughness and very good thermomechanical stability. It provides good resistance against oil and lubricants. Acronal® 12 DE is recommended for adhesive applications. Acronal® N 285 by BASF is aqueous dispersion of a carboxyl group containing acrylate copolymer made with acrylonitrile. It forms a film with good
immediate tack, high peel strength and good cohesion. Acronal® N 285 is used to manufacture pressure sensitive adhesives for self-adhesives articles. Acronal® DS 2159 by BASF acts as a binder for filled construction adhesives such as plywood-lumber subfloor formulations where good moisture resistance is required. It is an acrylic ester copolymer emulsion. Acronal® A 310 S by BASF is aqueous dispersion of an acrylate copolymer crosslinking at room temperature. Used in adhesive for glossy film lamination. Acronal® A 310 S offers increase in cohesion, giving laminating adhesives good resistance to piping. Acronal® 50 D by BASF is acrylate copolymer containing acrylonitrile. Acronal® 50 D is used in pressure-sensitive adhesives for self-adhesive items. Acronal® A 240 by BASF is an aqueous dispersion of an acrylate copolymer containing carboxyl groups. Used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive in self-adhesive labels, films and tapes. Recommended dosage level of Acronal® A 240 is 0.05–0.2%. Acronal® DS 3502 by BASF is an aqueous dispersion of an acrylic copolymer. It is used in the manufacture of adhesives for packaging applications.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It can be added to polyurethane dispersions (Luphen® D types) up to 30% to reduce their heat activation temperature without significantly affecting their heat resistance.</li><li>Acoustic compounds formulated with Acronal® DS 3502 display maximum noise suppression in the 10-20°C range.</li></ul> Acronal® V 115 by BASF is a high solid acrylic dispersion. It is suitable for paper labels used for low temperature labeling on dry surfaces. It shows excellent adhesive performance at low temperatures allows the formulation of so called “all-temp” and freezer grade PSA labels required for the field of food packaging or wine labels. It fulfills ISEGA direct food contact approval for fatty food with a reduction of factor of only 2. Acronal® V 115 can also be used in the formulation of such sensitive applications like labels for blood bags.
