About Alnor Oil Company

Alnor Oil Company, founded in 1968 and headquartered in Valley Stream, New York, supplies vegetable-derived raw-material families widely used in adhesives. Its portfolio includes castor-oil derivatives (technical castor, pale-pressed, low-moisture, hydrogenated) and diverse fatty-acid families (ricinoleic, dehydrated castor, 12-hydroxystearic, tall oil, linseed, coconut, and others). These bio-based chemistries serve as plasticizers, reactive intermediates, flexibility enhancers and resin-building blocks, delivering bonding performance and formulation stability across solvent-based, water-based and bio-based adhesive systems.

Castor Oil (Alnor)

Castor Oil (Alnor) by Alnor Oil Company is bio-based, natural oil obtained from the seed of the Ricinus Communis or castor plant. It is unique among naturally occurring oils in that in that it is the only commercially sold oil composed of approximately 85-90% Ricinoleic acid. It has a slight, characteristic odor Castor Oil (Alnor) also referred to as FSG or #1 and is recommended for adhesive application.

Pale Pressed Castor Oil

Pale Pressed Castor Oil by Alnor Oil Company is bio-based, natural oil obtained from the seed of the Ricinus Communis or castor plant. It has a very slight characteristic odor. It is obtained from the first pressing of the castorbean. It is also a technical grade but is clearer and brighter in appearance and has a lower free fatty acid than FSG Castor oil. Pale Pressed Castor Oil is recommended for adhesive application.
