About ACME

ACME, founded in 2004 and based in Chongqing, China, develops acetylenic‑diol–based additives under its SURFADOL® brand. It offers surfactants, defoamers, and dispersants designed to improve substrate wetting, reduce foaming, and stabilize flow in adhesive formulations. These additives are particularly suited for water-based adhesive systems, helping formulators enhance performance, application efficiency, and sustainability by minimizing volatile organic compound (VOC) content.

Surfadol 607

Surfadol 607 by ACME is a non-ionic acetylenic diols ethylene oxide surfactant. It acts as a wetting agent for water-based pressure-sensitive adhesives. It improves wetting of various substrates and pigments. It exhibits good reduction of dynamic surface tension. Surfadol 607 is highly suitable for addition to the grind stage. It is a silicone- and solvent-free grades.

Surfadol 550

Surfadol 550 by ACME acts as a molecular defoamer. It is suitable for water/alcohol system and solvent-based adhesives. It is a 2,5,8,11-tetramethyl-6-dodecyne-5,8-diol in 2-butoxyethanol. It offers excellent long-lasting foam control. It is silicone-, oil-, and APEO-free. It effectively breaks bubbles and micro-bubbles. Surfadol 550 is listed with TSCA, China (SEPA), Canada (DSL), EINECS/ELINCS, Australia (AICS), Japan (MITI), Philippines (PICCS) and Korea (ECL). The shelf life is 24 months.

It is a nonionic acetylenic diol surfactant. It effectively breaks bubbles and micro-bubbles. It offers excellent long-lasting foam control. It is non-toxic, APEO- and silicone-free. Surfadol 520 is listed with China (SEPA), Canada (DSL), EINECS/ELINCS, Australia (AICS), Japan (MITI), Philippines (PICCS), and Korea (ECL). Recommended dosage level is 0.2-2.0% of total formulation weight.
