EPIKOTE™ Resin 816 by Westlake Epoxy is a low viscosity epoxy resin produced from bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. It contains an added proportion of Cardura E10P (glycidyl ester of neodecanoic acid) as a reactive diluent. It has low volatility and mild odor, which gives the resin agreeable handling characteristics. It exhibits pigment wetting and resistance to filler settling. It is considered to have a moderate resistance to crystallization on storage. It exhibits good mechanical performance. EPIKOTE™ Resin 816 is designed for building and civil engineering industries like flooring compounds, adhesives, mortars, grouts and laminating binders.
