Epolene® C-16 by Westlake is a branched low density polyethylene modified with maleic anhydride. It exhibits excellent thermal stability, low color and medium molecular weight. The maleic anhydride modification allows improved adhesion, greater filler tolerance, broader capabilities, and improved aging properties. It shows compatibility with many polymers, resins, and natural & synthetic waxes. Epolene® C-16 is used as a base polymer for solvent-based adhesives & hot-melt adhesives, and applications which require compatibility with polyamide.
