Siltem™ Resin STM1700 by SABIC is polyetherimide siloxane-based flame retardant. It is an amber-colored transparent material that can be self-colored and easily processed on conventional equipment. It is an amorphous, material that combines the high-heat resistance of Ultem™ PEI resin with the ?exibility of silicone elastomers. It shows improved dispersion and faster dissolution in epoxy systems and standard solvents. It has long-term heat resistance, high flexibility, high limited oxygen index (LOI) and strong metal adhesion. Siltem™ Resin STM1700 promotes non-halogenated flame retardance and imparts stable di-electrical constant and dissipation factors.
