REPLONIC -5851 by Resins & Plastics is a ketonic resin designed to deliver high alcohol solubility and pale color. It is used with short oil alkyd in formulating solvent-free heat set adhesives. It exhibits good hardness and limited compatibility with amines and polyamides, making it suitable for partial usage only. It shows fairly good compatibility with alcohol-soluble resins. REPLONIC -5851 also mixes well with plasticizers such as DOP and DBP. It is a good substitute for natural alcohol soluble resins like Shellac.
