EMPEYOL F 3002/ 2F 3002 by Manali Petrochemicals is an EO/PO random mixed copolymer triol. It is manufactured by ethoxylation or propoxylation of a polyhydric alcohol in the presence of a catalyst. The polyhydric alcohols used are ethylene glycol, di-propylene glycol, di-ethylene glycol, and glycerol. Sucrose is also used as polyhydric alcohol in the preparation of polyether polyols for the production of polyurethane foam. EMPEYOL F 3002/ 2F 3002 is recommended for flexible slabstock foam.
