Rhenogran® HEXA-80 by Lanxess is an accelerator for vulcanization of natural and sythetic rubbers and as a formaldehyde donor for rubber-to-metal bonding in resorcinol-based adhesive compounds such as carcasses of steel-cord tires. It is a blend of hexamethylene tetramine, elastomer binder and dispersing agent. Rhenogran® HEXA-80 can be used in combination with mercapto, sulphenamide, thiuram and dithiocarbamate accelerators. The storage stability of the grade is 730 days.
