KURARAY POVAL™ L-11 by Kuraray is polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is used as an adhesive promoter. It is designed for modification of emulsion adhesives and remoistenable adhesives in the paper processing industry. Aqueous solution of KURARAY POVAL™ L-11 can be added to polymer emulsion which is already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol to extend the open time, increase setting speed and influence the rheology. It is used in postage stamps and labels. Complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC regulation. The recommended shelf life is 12 months.
