KURARAY POVAL™ 5-74 LLA

KURARAY POVAL™ 5-74 LLA by Kuraray is a low ash polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) by Kuraray. Possesses a uniform chemical structure and greater adhesion. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. Offers extension of open time and increase in the setting speed. Designed for the modification of remoistenable adhesives employed mainly in the paper processing industry. Applications include gumming of paper on the reverse side like postage stamps & labels and the application of gum to the envelopes and Jiffy®-type bags. It influences the rheology of polymer emulsions including particle size distribution, viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/ thaw stability, pigment compatibility and electrolyte stability. Shelf life of KURARAY POVAL™ 5-74 LLA is 12 months.
