KANEKA SILYL™ MAX951 by Kaneka is an acrylic modified, silyl-terminated polyether (STPE) used as a base resin for producing high-performance moisture cure adhesives and sealants utilizing either a hot or cold process. It exhibits wide formulating latitude, low-viscosity, high UV-resistance, long-term weatherability & durability, long shelf stability and good mechanical properties. It provides well-balanced properties such as durability, reactivity and storage stability. This unique and highly valued balance of attributes is derived from the polyether polymer backbone coupled with the methyl-dimethoxy silane functional groups. It finds applications in clear-, industrial- and construction sealant & adhesives. Also, used in DIY-, specialty- and high UV stability applications. The shelf life of KANEKA SILYL™ MAX951 is 6 months.
