Poval VP-20 by Japan Vam & Poval is stable, water-soluble, partially hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol. It is suitable for remoistenable adhesives. It has a hydroxyl group and exhibits excellent adhesive force to hydrophilic surfaces such as paper and wood. It possesses excellent surface activation, emulsion and dispersion properties. It shows good chemical reactivity, membrane formation such as high film transparency, high strength, excellent gas barrier, clouding prevention and anti-static electricity. Poval VP-20 is used as an ingredient in vinylon synthetic fibers.
