TEGOPREN® 5840 by Evonik is a non-ionic solvent-free, easy to handle polyether siloxane. It reduces the surface tension of water-based systems. It enhances the spreading on non-polar surfaces such as polypropylene. It is compatible with cationic, anionic, non-ionic and amphoteric surfactants.
- It is recommended for the production of transfer labels and tapes sealant and adhesives or for laminating processes.
- Its recommended addition level is 0.1-0.6% for adhesive applications, 0.1-0.3 % to overcome defects or craters and 0.3-0.6 % for the wetting of critical substrates or an improved penetration.
- TEGOPREN® 5840 has a shelf life of 12 months.
