TEGO® Antifoam 2290 by Evonik is a self-emulsifying, APEO-free organic antifoam concentrate. It is free of silicone and does not contain any silica. It is used in formulation and application of polymer dispersions/latices such as adhesives based on acrylates or PVAc. High shear forces on the diluted product should
be avoided.
- It process aid for water-based polymerization of dispersions, thermoplastics and elastomers (e.g. de-monomerisation of SBR or NBR emulsions, handling of acrylates).
- Recommended dosage may vary from 0.005-0.2%.
- TEGO® Antifoam 2290 has a shelf life of 12 months.
