Surfynol® AS 5080 by Evonik is a 100% active non-ionic organic super wetter and defoamer. It is based on patented gemini surfactant technology. It is a low viscosity, easy-to handle liquid that contains no added silicones, siloxanes, fluorosurfactants, alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs) or hazardous air pollutants (HAPs).
  • It is an excellent alternative for difficult-to-wet substrates requiring good flow and leveling under diverse application conditions.
  • It provides improved formulation compatibility and ease of incorporation.
  • It has the ability to reduce both equilibrium and dynamic surface tension.
  • It can deliver exceptional performance in a wide variety of water-based applications.
  • Surfynol® AS 5080 is used in pigment dispersion, flexible food packaging adhesives and pressure sensitive adhesives.
  • The recommended usage is between 0.1 and 1.0% of total formulation weight.
  • It has a shelf life of 24 months.
