AIRASE® 5100 Defoamer by Evonik is a structured siloxane defoamer line (SSDL) defoamer. It can provide an excellent long-term and persistent defoaming in formulations on proper incorporation. It is a low odor, opaque, alkyl phenol ethoxylate (APE) as well as HAPs-free and easy to handle liquid. It offers low-viscosity, improved pH stability, zero VOC (per EPA Method 2) and good shear stability. It is designed for applications where strong defoaming is required and the formulations are not sensitive to cratering. AIRASE® 5100 Defoamer is used in waterborne adhesives. Its recommended usage level is 0.05–0.5%.
