AIRASE® 4500 Defoamer by Evonik acts as a proprietary organic oil defoamer. It is designed to control and typically eliminates foam, pinholes and entrapped air. It does not contain added mineral oils, hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) or alkyl phenol ethoxylates (APEs). AIRASE® 4500 is an easy-to-handle liquid and exhibits low viscosity. It is used for water-based adhesives. Its recommended usage level is between 0.2 and 1% of total formulation weight. Complies with European regulations such as Swiss ordinance SR 817.023.21 (contains substances from lists A and B), German BfR XXXVI- paper and board for food contact. Also complies with US FDA 21CFR 175.105, 175.125(b) and 176.210.
