Elvamide® 8061

Elvamide® 8061 by DuPont is nylon multipolymer resin suitable for adhesion to nylon yarns. Offers very good abrasion resistance, high tensile strength and elongation. Provides high melting point, consistent quality and is economical in use. Shows crosslinking with epoxy, melamine and phenol formaldehyde resins. Used in thermoset adhesives and blends. Adhesive blends containing less than 60% Elvamide® 8061 are less flexible, have lower peel strength and lower shear strength. However, as little as 20% Elvamide® 8061 significantly improves the flexibility of brittle thermosetting resins.
