HYPALON® 4085 by Dow is a stable, chlorosulfonated polyethylene. It possesses good green strength, very good resistance to ozone and oxygen even in nonblack compounds, good oil resistance, very good weathering- & chemical resistance, electricity insulation- & good low temperature properties. It also displays very good heat-aging, heat resistance upto 150°C, good flame retardancy, very good abrasion resistance, good compression set and good tear strength. It shows permanent bright colors and has no discoloration on exposure to light. HYPALON® 4085 exhibits very good mechanical properties on compounding. It is used in adhesives.
