Span™ 40 by Croda is a 100% bio-based, non-ionic surfactant fatty acid ester produced from sorbitol and C16 fatty acid. Acts as a wetting agent, pigment dispersant and carrier liquid. It also acts as W/O emulsifier and O/W co-emulsifier. Provides good environmental and health profile. Allows high loading of pigments/fillers. It is compatible with acrylic/ vinylic/ UV, epoxy, natural oils, waxes, esters, polyesters and polyurethane. Span™ 40 is used in adhesives and sealants. It complies with REACH, food contact approvals including EU 10/2011 and FDA (175.105).
