BYK® -W 940 by BYK is a solution of an unsaturated polycarboxylic acid polymer with a polysiloxane copolymer. Acts as wetting and dispersing agent. It bridges between the pigment particles are built, thereby creating three-dimensional network structures. The controlled flocculation mechanism prevents settling, sagging, flooding and floating. It is a wetting and dispersing additive for mineral fillers, inorganic and organic pigments. Stabilizes solid particles in the adhesive and prevent color separation. BYK® -W 940 is used for polyester and epoxy adhesives. Its recommended level is 0.5-1.5% additive based upon filler, 0.5-3% inorganic pigments and 2.5-5% organic pigments.
