TUFTEC™ H1053 by Asahi Kasei is a hydrogenated styrene ethylene butadiene styrene (SEBS) thermoplastic elastomer. Used as an adhesive and sealants component, compatibilizer, asphalt- , olefinic- and styrenic resins modifier for high impact strength. Acts as a base polymer for SEBS compounds. Provides flexibility, tackiness, transparency and thermal stability. Offers weatherability, high peeling resistance and low odor emission. TUFTEC™ H1053 permits adhesion to PE and PP substrates. The ratio of styrene/(ethylene/butylene) is 29/71 %wt.
