Synolite™ 9248-U-3 by AOC is unsaturated polyester based on DCPD pre-accelerated with polymeric amines. Used as a binder for highly filled putties on metal, wood and mineral substrates. Can be applied as such, or as the rigid component ("booster") in blends with flexible resins in putties for car refinishes. Possesses medium viscosity and high reactivity. Gives rapid hardening of thick and thin layers, also at lower temperatures and very good adhesion to various substrates, including mild steel, galvanized steel, aluminium and polyester. Synolite™ 9248-U-3 can be used in combination with extenders such as talc, dolomite/calcite, crystalline chalk and barytes with a low iron content.
