Pentrex G by Akrochem is a pentaerythritol ester of rosin-based tackifier. It provides superior tackifying action to synthetic- and natural rubber applications for adhesives and hot melts. It is highly compatible with non-polar elastomers like EPDM, butyl rubber and SBR. It provides wetting action for filler/rubber, speeds up the incorporation time of mineral fillers and offers cohesion of the compound matrix. Pentrex G reduces compound viscosity at process temperatures and improves rubber to metal/fibers interaction/bonding.
