Surfadol 518 by ACME is a 2,5,8,11-tetramethyl-6-dodecyne-5,8-diol in dipropylene glycol and ethylene glycol solvent. It acts as a molecular defoamer. It is a non-toxic, APEO- and silicone-free, nonionic acetylenic diol surfactant. It effectively breaks bubbles and micro-bubbles. It offers excellent long lasting foam control. Surfadol 518 is used in water-based laminating adhesives. It is listed with China (SEPA), Canada (DSL), EINECS/ELINCS, Australia (AICS), Japan (MITI), Philippines (PICCS), TSCA and Korea (ECL). Recommended dosage level is 0.2-2.0% of total formulation weight.
