Styrene Block Copolymers, SBC (SBS, SEBS, SEPS, SIS) for Adhesives and Sealants

GLOBALPRENE™ 3545 by LCY Group is a styrene-butadiene block copolymer. It features a linear structure with high diblock content and is fully reprocessable.

• It is recommended for use in transparent shoe soles, plastic modification, mechanical parts, compounding applications and adhesives.

Stereon™ SR8983 by Lion Elastomers is a solution polymerized linear styrene-butadiene multi-block elastomer. It is designed as a graftable rubber modifier that is reacted with bromine and processed into clean, white powder. It contains non-staining antioxidant stabilizer. The brominated Stereon™ SR8983 is combined with polystyrene to produce flame-retardant foam insulation used in building and home construction. It is also recommended for use in applications such as grafting, adhesives, roofing, and paving asphalts.

HYBRAR™ 7311F by Kuraray is a hydrogenated, vinyl-bond rich styrene ethylene ethylene propylene styrene (SEEPS) block copolymer by Kuraray. It shows low temperature flexibility combined with high heat resistance. It exhibits color stability, low melt viscosity at application temperature, superior adhesion and good surface texture. It provides good balance of tack, peel and shear. It is suitable for clear adhesives and automotive damping sealants. HYBRAR™ 7311F is recommended for tapes, cold seal food packaging, reactive adhesives, industrial and construction adhesives. It is excellently miscible with polypropylene that offers excellent transparency & clarity when blended.

TAIPOL® 6014 by TSRC Corporation is a linear styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene (SEBS) block copolymer with 18% styrene content. It can be produced using proprietary anionic polymerization technology. It exhibits medium to low molecular weight, superior weather and heat resistance. It shows good compatibility with plastics and oils. It is suitable for adhesives and sealants applications. TAIPOL® 6014 has a shelf life of 36 months.

SEPTON™ 4033 by Kuraray is styrene-[ethylene-(ethylene-propylene)]-styrene block copolymer. It generates high elongation properties as well as enhanced low temperature properties without crystallization. It can also replace PVC in several applications. It is designed for sound damping, low temperature hot-melt adhesives and automotive damping sealants. SEPTON™ 4033 is also used in heat resistant adhesives, tapes, labels, industrial and construction adhesives.

VECTOR® 4114S by TSRC Corporation is a blended product composed of a linear SIS triblock copolymer and an SI diblock copolymer. It is produced via proprietary anionic polymerization technology. It is suitable for hot melt pressure-sensitive label applications.

• It is softer than VECTOR® 4113 SIS/SI due to higher diblock content.
• VECTOR® 4114S exhibits outstanding adhesive properties and workability.
• It is used in label and tape adhesives.

VECTOR® 4186AS by TSRC Corporation is a radial styrene-isoprene (SI) block copolymer with low styrene content and narrow molecular weight distribution. It is suitable for low-viscosity hot melt pressure-sensitive label adhesives.

• It provides low migration, excellent adhesion to low surface energy materials and enhanced die-cutting properties.
• VECTOR® 4186AS is produced using proprietary anionic polymerization technology.
• It possesses greater workability as a high diblock SIS than VECTOR® 4114S.

SEPTON™ 4055 by Kuraray is styrene-[ethylene-(ethylene-propylene)]-styrene block copolymer. It exhibits high elasticity, high strength, weather resistance and low temperature properties.

• It offers heat aging- and chemical resistance (acid, alkali, alcohol) with electrical property (insulation).
• It is a recyclable grade.
• It is designed for adhesives and sealants.
• SEPTON™ 4055 finds application in heat resistant adhesives, tapes, labels, industrial, automotive and construction adhesives.

VECTOR® 4187A by TSRC Corporation is a styrene-isoprene (SI) radial block copolymer. Exhibits narrow molecular weight distribution. It can be produced using proprietary anionic polymerization technology. It offers low styrene content, excellent adhesion to low surface energy materials, low migration and enhanced die-cutting. VECTOR® 4187A is recommended for use in low viscosity hot melt pressure-sensitive adhesive applications.

Kraton™ A1536 HS by KRATON is a linear triblock copolymer based on styrene and ethylene/butylene. It is supplied as a dusted powder. Kraton™ A1536 HS is recommended for use in adhesives and sealants.
