Nicron® 674
by Magris Performance Materials
Nicron® 674 by Magris Performance Materials acts as a reinforcing- and anti-blocking agent. It is an ultra-fine, high purity microcrystalline talc. It is used in adhesives, sealants, caulks, joint compounds, wood putty and auto body patch.
- It provides efficient nucleation of crystalline polymers such as PE, PP, POM, polyamides and polyesters.
- Nicron® 674 enhances workability and sanding properties.
CAB-O-SIL® H-300
by Cabot
CAB-O-SIL® H-300 by Cabot is a high surface area fumed silica which imparts a significant increase in viscosity and in reinforcement of sealants. In CAB-O-SIL® H-300 high shear dispersion equipment is required to realize its full benefits. Offers low bulk density, high purity, aggregate structure, submicron particle size and hydrophilic surface chemistry.
Durez® 12686
by Sumitomo Bakelite
Durez® 12686 by Sumitomo Bakelite is a cashew nut shell oil modified thermoplastic phenolic resin. Acts as a processing aid and reinforcer designed for adhesives applications. Compatible with synthetic elastomers including NBR compounds. It requires the addition of hexamethylenetetramine to make it thermosetting. Durez® 12686 imparts good heat resistance.
ALBIDUR® PU 5640
by Evonik
ALBIDUR® PU 5640 by Evonik is dispersed silicone elastomer-modified polyol. It is used as an additive for impact modification of polyurethane systems and surface improvement in construction adhesives. ALBIDUR® PU 5640 improves toughness of the cured resin, surface and electrical characteristics and workability.
REZICURE™ HYDRO T8-7900
by SI Group
REZICURE™ HYDRO T8-7900 by SI Group is a phenol modified, bio-based tackifier. It accelerates film formation and drying process. It is a reinforcing grade and is used in abrasives and water-based polychloroprene adhesives. It improves bond strength in wood hot melt adhesives, increases adhesive strength and offers high temperature resistance. REZICURE™ HYDRO T8-7900 exhibits excellent curing properties for pressure sensitive adhesives.
Duomod® DP5045
by Zeon Chemical
Duomod® DP5045 by Zeon Chemical is a crosslinked carboxy-functional elastomer based on modified acrylonitrile/ butadiene polymer silica blend. Offers good resistance to hot/wet conditions. Provides good fracture toughness and compression after impact in epoxy composites and adhesives. Duomod® DP5045 is designed for adhesives for direct addition to resin systems without the need for solvents.
Calofort® SM
by Specialty Minerals
Calofort® SM by Specialty Minerals is a precipitated calcium carbonate. It is stearate coated white microcrystalline powder characterized by high surface area, controlled particle shape and high whiteness. It consists of fine calcitic crystals with an average particle size of 0.07µm. Used in sealant systems based upon polyurethane, polysulphide and other polymers where slump resistance as well as viscosity control are important. It can allow partial or total replacement of more expensive thixotropic aids. Its surface promotes hydrogen bonded networks when used in sealant formulations. These structures readily break down under shear, leading to a reduced viscosity and hence a more readily pumped or sprayed product. However, on removal of the shear, the sealant structure quickly recovers giving rise to good slump resistance. The fine particle size of Calofort® SM also acts as a reinforcing agent which gives the benefit of high tear and tensile strength in the cured product.
Calofort® SV
by Specialty Minerals
Calofort® SV by Specialty Minerals is a precipitated calcium carbonate. It is stearate coated white microcrystalline powder characterized by high surface area, controlled particle shape and high whiteness. It consists of fine calcitic crystals with an average particle size of 0.07µm and a 3% stearate coating. Used in PVC plastisols and other sealant formulations where higher structure and slump resistance are required. It can allow partial or total replacement of more expensive thixotropic aids. The surface of Calofort® SV promotes hydrogen bonded networks when used in sealant formulations. These structures readily break down under shear, leading to a reduced viscosity and hence a more readily pumped or sprayed product. It also acts as a reinforcing agent which gives the benefit of high tear and tensile strength in the cured product.
