Polyvinyl Pyrrolidones (PVP) for Adhesives and Sealants

PVP K-15 by Ashland is a hygroscopic, linear non-ionic, amorphous polyvinylpyrrolidone. It provides high polarity, dispersancy, hydrophilicity and cohesivity. It can be plasticized with water and the most common organic plasticizers. PVP K-15 is recommended for adhesives.

PVP K-30 by Ashland is an amorphous polyvinylpyrrolidone. It provides high polarity, dispersancy, hydrophilicity, cohesivity and high glass transition temperature. It can be plasticized with water and the most common organic plasticizers. PVP K-30 finds application in adhesives.

PVP K-60 by Ashland is an amorphous polyvinylpyrrolidone. It provides high polarity, dispersancy, hydrophilicity, cohesivity, and high glass transition temperature. It can be plasticized with water and the most common organic plasticizers. PVP K-60 is recommended for adhesives.

Luviskol® VA 37E by BASF is vinylpyrrolidone and vinyl acetate copolymer. Used in glue sticks, remoistenable and watersoluble hot-melt adhesives and flexible, skin-adhesive pads.

Luviskol® K 17 Powder by BASF is vinylpyrrolidone homopolymer. Possesses film forming and solubilizing properties.
