Polysulfide Resins for Adhesives and Sealants

Thioplast® EPS 35 by Nouryon is a purely aliphatic epoxy-terminated polysulfide polymer. It offers improved chemical resistance and anti-corrosion properties. It is used in combination with conventional epoxy resins to manufacture high-performance heavy-duty adhesives featuring excellent primerless adhesion, low-temperature impact and crack resistance. It is compatible with most bisphenol A, A/F, F and novolac resins. It is suitable for two-component systems. It is designed for epoxy-based adhesives and sealant formulations. It withstands harsh environments in the construction, automotive, aerospace, marine, and energy industries. Thioplast® EPS 35 has a shelf life of 12 months.

Thioplast® G 1 by Nouryon is polysulphide polymer. It is used for insulating glass and industrial sealants.

• It exhibit properties like pot-life, tensile strength, adhesion and good UV-resistance.
• It offers flexibility, even at low temperatures and the high elongation at break in combination with Thioplast® G.
• Thioplast® G 1 is used to formulate flexible, elastic sealants being used in aerospace applications with excellent performance tensile strength, high Nobel Gas retention and low moisture vapor permeability.
• Recommended use in combination with Managanese(IV)oxide curing agent (5.7-6.3 g MnO₂/100g).
• It has shelf life of minimum 3 years.

Thioplast® EPS 70 by Nouryon is epoxidized polysulfide. It offers good adhesion on many materials. It provides adjustable flexibility, high impact resistance and thermal shock resistance.

• It also offers chemical resistance to a number of diluted acids, alkalis and organic solvents.
• It has low vapour transmission properties.

• Thioplast® EPS 70 is used in adhesives and sealants.

Thioplast® G 112 by Nouryon is polysulfide polymer with thiol end groups. It is used for building sealants.

• It exhibit properties like pot-life, tensile strength, adhesion and good UV-resistance.
• It offers flexibility, even at low temperatures and the high elongation at break in combination with Thioplast® G.
• It can be used in combination with various fillers, plasticizers, and special modifying additives.
• Thioplast® G 112 is used to formulate flexible, elastic sealants being used in aerospace applications with excellent performance in jet fuel resistance, high nobel gas retention and low moisture vapor permeability.
