Adhesives and Sealants Formulations with Moisture Scavengers

Moisture scavengers actively bind and remove unwanted moisture from adhesive systems. Used in moisture-cured systems, epoxy formulations, and packaging adhesives where they extend shelf life, improve cure reliability, and enhance bond strength by preventing water-related degradation. 

Major sub-types include molecular sieves offering physical adsorption, reactive calcium oxide systems providing high capacity water binding, and chemical scavengers like orthoformates and isocyanates that convert water through chemical reactions. Specialty silane-based moisture scavengers deliver additional adhesion promotion benefits while removing water.
