BMI -3000 (50% Toluene) by Designer Molecules is an amorphous, low molecular weight, imide-extended bismaleimide oligomer. It is used as a toughener. It exhibits excellent low pH hydrolytic resistance, excellent flexibility and thermal stability. It is soluble in most aromatic and aliphatic solvents such as toluene and NMP and forms very tough, hydrophobic polyimides on curing. When used as a base resin, BMI -3000 (50% Toluene) can produce films that are tough, flexible and demonstrate good peel strength. It's recommended for use in film adhesives, pre-applied adhesives and for adhesion to metals.

It exhibits excellent flexibility, excellent hydrolytic stability, excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates and thermal stability. It is hydrophobic in nature and is used as a toughener. It is soluble in most aromatic and aliphatic solvents such as toluene, NMP, etc. BMI -3000 GEL is compatible with and can be incorporated directly into many resin systems for enhanced performance. When used as a base resin, it can produce films that are tough, flexible and demonstrate good peel strength. It is recommended for use in film adhesives, pre-applied adhesives and for adhesion to metals.

It is non-tacky, and can be cured thermally, via UV irradiation, or in the presence of free-radical initiators to form a tough thermoset. BMI -5000 is soluble in aromatic and aliphatic solvents such as toluene, nmp, etc. and can be processed in a resin system as a solid or dissolved in a solvent. When used as a base resin, it can produce films that are tough, flexible and demonstrate good peel strength. Recommended for use in film adhesives and thermally resistant adhesives.
