Caprolactone Monomers for Adhesives and Sealants

Low viscosity standard grade polyol derived from caprolactone monomer. Possesses low viscosity, low impurities and shows consistent crystallization. Exhibits outstanding flexibility even at low temperatures, excellent strength and abrasion resistance and a controlled and consistent open time. Provides strong adhesion on difficult and sensitive substrates including leather and shows a lasting outdoor performance for polyurethane materials. It is non-toxic and biodegradable. Shows a fast wetting process and benefits in durable joints even in humid environments. Recommended for use in waterborne, solvent-based and hot-melt polyurethane adhesives. Applications in the automotive and footwear industries, as well as a range of other areas.

Capa® 8502A by Ingevity is a linear co-polyester diol derived from caprolactone monomer. It is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with low melting point. The co-polyester is made from partly renewable sources. The polymer is biodegradable in composting conditions. Capa® 8502A is used in adhesive applications.

PLACCEL FA2D by Daicel is 2-Oxepanone'homopolymer'2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethylester. PLACCEL FA2D appears colorless or light yellow colored liquid.

PLACCEL FM5 by Daicel 2-Oxepanone homopolymer 2-[2-methyl-(1-oxo-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethylester (HEMA containing 5 mol of caprolactone). PLACCEL FM5 is a white waxy solid.

CELLOXIDE 2081 by Daicel is 3,4-Epoxycyclohexylmethyl-3',4'-epoxycyclohexanecarboxylate modified epsilon-caprolactone. It appears as colorless or light yellow colored liquid.

2-Oxepanone homopolymer 2-[2-methyl-(1-oxo-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethylester (HEMA containing 3 mol of caprolactone). It appears colorless or light yellow colored liquid.

2-Oxepanone'homopolymer'2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethylester. This liquid either appears colorless or light yellow colored.

2-Oxepanone homopolymer 2-[2-methyl-(1-oxo-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethylester. It appears colorless or light yellow colored transparent liquid.

2-Oxepanone homopolymer 2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl)oxy]-ethylester. It is HEA containing 5 mol of caprolactone.
