Genamin® M 41/2000
by Clariant
Genamin® M 41/2000 by Clariant is a multifunctional methyl polyalkylene oxide monoamine. A hydrophilic building block that is used as a binder in pressure-sensitive adhesives.
- Acts as a dispersing agent.
- It is an amine-based on a statistical polyethylene/polypropylene glycol copolymer.
- Exhibits high primary amine value, low viscosity, moderate reactivity, narrow molecular weight distribution, and hydrophilic monoamine.
- Ensures low content of by-products, improved handling & flow, and increased water compatibility.
- Enables to reach high-quality standards.
- Shows chemical reactions like salt formation with inorganic and organic acids, reaction with mono and di-functional isocyanates to form urea or polyurea derivatives, with mono- and di-functional carboxylic acids, anhydrides or esters to form diamides or polyamides, epoxides to form amino alcohols and with aldehydes & ketones to form imines.
- Insoluble in water but soluble in polar organic solvents.
- Genamin® M 41/2000 is listed in AICS, DSL, REACH, ENCS, IECSC, KECI, NECI, NZloC, PICCS and TSCA.
Jeffamine® THF-100 Polyetheramine
by Huntsman
Jeffamine® THF-100 Polyetheramine by Huntsman is diamine based on a PTMEG (poly(tetramethylene ether glycol)/PPG (polypropylene glycol) copolymer.
- It is useful in a variety of polymers, including cured epoxy resins, polyurea and polyamides.
- It has also been used to improve flexibility and low temperature properties of polyamides.
- It has amine groups that are adjacent to methyl groups, which moderates their reactivity somewhat.
- Provides improved mechanical properties and improved anticorrosion property.
- Jeffamine® THF-100 Polyetheramine is effective in flexibilizing and promoting adhesive peel strength in epoxy formulations.
- It is listed in TSCA and ENCS.
Jeffamine® THF-170 Polyetheramine
by Huntsman
Jeffamine® THF-170 Polyetheramine by Huntsman is diamine of approximately 1700 molecular weight. It is chemically based on a PTMEG [poly(tetramethylene ether glycol)]/PPG (polypropylene glycol) copolymer. It contains a significant amount of secondary amine as well as primary amine. It is useful in a variety of polymers including cured epoxy resins, polyurea and polyamides. It is effective in flexibilizing and promoting adhesive peel strength in epoxy formulations. It has also been used to improve flexibility and low temperature properties of polyamides. Jeffamine® THF-170 Polyetheramine provides improved mechanical properties, improved anticorrosion property and its amine end group is more reactive than alcohol. It is listed in TSCA.
Jeffamine® D-4000 Amine
by Huntsman
Jeffamine® D-4000 Amine by Huntsman is polyetheramine. It is characterized by repeating oxypropylene units in the backbone. It is a difunctional and primary amine with average molecular weight of about 4000. The primary amine groups are located on secondary carbon atoms at the end of the aliphatic polyether chains. Its benefits include relatively low viscosity, color and vapor pressure, improved flexibility from high molecular weight polyether backbone and increase peel strength. Jeffamine® D-4000 Amine is used in adhesives. It is listed in TSCA, DSL, AICS, ECL and IECSC.
