Jeffamine® THF-100 Polyetheramine by Huntsman is diamine based on a PTMEG (poly(tetramethylene ether glycol)/PPG (polypropylene glycol) copolymer.
- It is useful in a variety of polymers, including cured epoxy resins, polyurea and polyamides.
- It has also been used to improve flexibility and low temperature properties of polyamides.
- It has amine groups that are adjacent to methyl groups, which moderates their reactivity somewhat.
- Provides improved mechanical properties and improved anticorrosion property.
- Jeffamine® THF-100 Polyetheramine is effective in flexibilizing and promoting adhesive peel strength in epoxy formulations.
- It is listed in TSCA and ENCS.
