Acrylics & Acrylic Copolymers for Adhesives and Sealants

LIGOS™ A 9200 by Trinseo is a styrene-free, robust and versatile all-acrylic emulsion with very low odor. It is designed for waterborne adhesive for the lamination of flexible structures that come in contact with food. Exhibits high efficiency due to high solid content, it enables fast processing and efficient drying.

• It ensures high initial shear- and bond strength which creates a more durable application.
• It also enhances mechanical and thermal resistance of packaging's by its potential to be combined with a water-dispersible crosslinker.
• LIGOS™ A 9200 is suitable for laminating paper to a wide range of substrates, including treated polyolefins, polyvinylidene chloride-coated substrates, metalized films, polyamide and polyester films.
• It is also effective for film-to-film structures.
• It increases operational efficiency for film converters by enabling fast slitting in post-lamination processes.
• Its repulpability is confirmed by using the CEPI recyclability laboratory test method and is suitable for standard mill recycling as certified by Papiertechnische Stiftung (PTS).

LIGOS™ A 9210 by Trinseo is a formaldehyde-, APEO- and ammonia free acrylic latex binder designed for flexible flooring adhesives. It offers excellent plasticizer migration resistance, enhanced long-term durability and dimensional stability. It boasts excellent 90° peel strength according to ISO EN 22631 when tested at room temperature with standard aging or long aging at 50°C.

• It has low odor and is manufactured using processes that minimize volatile organic compound (VOC) residues.
• It allows an extended open working time, enabling a smooth and efficient installation process.
• Its initial green bond strength provides a secure hold from the start, while compatibility with LVT makes it a versatile choice.
• It exhibits high solids, high tensile strength, elongation and also provides bulk-formulated material storage stability.
• It is compatible with fillers, processing additives, pigments, and tackifiers.
• Adhesion build-up is pretty fast which allows to make the prepared space usable once the flooring layer is applied (particularly for LVT systems).
• LIGOS™ A 9210 is compliant with U.S. FDA 21 CFR 175.105, German BfR Recommendations XIV, XXXVI and eco-labels such as Emicode EC 1+ and Blue Angel.

KANEKA XMAP™ by Kaneka is a solvent-free, liquid telechelic polyacrylate polymer. It has a crosslinking functional group at both ends. It exhibits high performance after curing.

• Its viscosity, weatherability, and mechanical properties can be adjusted by the blending ratio.
• It offers excellent transparency, flexibility, heat resistance, and oil resistance in combination with oil-resistant grade.
• It reduces the life cycle costs due to ultra-high durability.

LIGOS™ C 9500 by Trinseo is styrene acrylic (SA) latex binder. It offers excellent adhesion to a broad spectrum of substrates. LIGOS™ C 9500 is suitable for primers, caulks and sealants.

TRINSEO™ DL 280NA by Trinseo is a non-yellowing, styrene acrylate latex. Offers heat sealability, light stability, cohesive- and adhesive strength. Shows resistance to efflorescence and stain. Exhibits dimensional stability, softness and water impermeability. TRINSEO™ DL 280NA is suitable for use in wet-room adhesives, wet lamination packaging, caulks and sealants.

Vinavil® 2428 by Vinavil is a plasticizers free vinyl-ethylene-acrylic water dispersion. Exhibits excellent resistance to temperature, plasticizers and good adhesion on plastic materials, metals, treated PE & PP both. Provides high cohesion and good mechanical stability. It can be used as raw material for the production of pressure sensitive adhesives (tapes, films, labels, transfer & double-sided tape), packaging adhesives and flooring adhesives (for PVC, linoleum, moquettes, foams). It is also used for adhesives for gluing paper and cardboard to low energy surface substrates. Vinavil® 2428 has a shelf life of 6 months.

Vinavil® 2440 is a vinyl/acrylic copolymer emulsion by Vinavil. It shows good shear, excellent peel and tack properties. It provides excellent compatibility with organic resins. Offers transparent and tacky films. It is suitable for the formulation of pressure sensitive, cement-based and vinyl adhesives. Vinavil® 2440 has a shelf life of 12 months.

LIGOS™ C 9504 by Trinseo is a modified styrene acrylic binder. It shows excellent adhesion to a broad spectrum of substrates. It is recommended for wet lamination and caulk sealant applications.

LIGOS™ S 9013 by Trinseo is styrene acrylic (SA) latex binder. It offers good flexibility and elongation to the final formulation.

• It shows good adhesion to various substrates and compatibility with paints.
• LIGOS™ S 9013 is designed for caulks and do it yourself (DIY) sealants.

LIGOS™ C 9375 by Trinseo is a low-odor, 100% acrylic emulsion latex binder. It possesses exceptional cement compatibility, strength and workability.

• It boasts high alkali stability, making it suitable for building & construction applications including hydraulic cement mixtures, exterior insulation and finishing systems (EIFS), cementitious repair, decorative overlays, tile grout, and sprayable & patching mortars/stuccos.
• This rigid cementitious modifier is resistant to corrosion and water in cementitious systems, resulting in long-term durability.
• LIGOS™ C 9375 is freeze/thaw stable and has excellent open/working time.
• It improves not only compressive & flexural strength but also offers excellent weatherability, making it an excellent choice for outdoor applications where ultraviolet stability is a key performance criterion.
