Adhesive ingredients for Tapes

Pearlbond™ 920L distributed by Bjørn Thorsen is an plasticizer-free thermoplastic polyurethane. It is a translucent resin with excellent color stability upon UV exposure. It is suitable for processing by slot dye extrusion, blown extrusion, melt blown, roll-coating and gravure.

• It exhibits excellent adhesion to various fabrics and offers high wash resistance.

Polcarb™ 60S by Imerys is a fine ground calcium carbonate for solvent-based adhesives. It improves rheological properties and reduces water or volatile content of the compound. It is used in polysulfide, hot-melt, bituminous, polyurethane sealants for construction and silicone & hybrid polymer sealants. Polcarb™ 60S is suitable for use in PVC plastisols, tapes/strips, cavity fillers for automotive, acrylic sealants, putties and mastics.

Polcarb™ 40S by Imerys is a fine ground calcium carbonate. It improves rheological properties and reduces water & volatile content of the compound. Polcarb™ 40S is used in polysulfide, hot-melt, solvent-based adhesives, bituminous and polyurethane sealants. It is recommended for silicone & hybrid polymer sealants, PVC plastisols, tapes/strips, cavity fillers for automotive, acrylic sealants, putties and mastics.

Polcarb™ 70SV by Imerys is a fine ground calcium carbonate. It provides enhanced rheological properties and reduced water or volatile content. It is used in polysulfide, hot-melt, bituminous, polyurethane sealants for construction, silicone and hybrid polymer sealants. Polcarb™ 70SV is designed for use in PVC plastisols, tapes/strips, cavity fillers for automotive, acrylic sealants, putties and mastics.

Imerseal™ 50 by Imerys is a fine ground coated calcium carbonate. It is used as a sole filler in low modulus silyl-terminated polyether sealants. It provides enhanced rheology, controlled moisture properties and increased sealant thixotropy & modulus. It is suitable for polysulfide, hot-melt adhesives, bituminous, polyurethane sealants for construction, silicone and hybrid polymer sealants. Imerseal™ 50 is recommended for PVC plastisols, sealant tapes/strips, cavity fillers for automotive, acrylic sealants, putties and mastics.

Vinavil® 2428 by Vinavil is a plasticizers free vinyl-ethylene-acrylic water dispersion. Exhibits excellent resistance to temperature, plasticizers and good adhesion on plastic materials, metals, treated PE & PP both. Provides high cohesion and good mechanical stability. It can be used as raw material for the production of pressure sensitive adhesives (tapes, films, labels, transfer & double-sided tape), packaging adhesives and flooring adhesives (for PVC, linoleum, moquettes, foams). It is also used for adhesives for gluing paper and cardboard to low energy surface substrates. Vinavil® 2428 has a shelf life of 6 months.

Imerseal™ 75 by Imerys is a fine ground calcium carbonate. It offers improved rheological properties, reduced water & volatile content and controlled moisture properties. Imerseal™ 75 is suitable for polysulfide, hot-melt adhesives, bituminous, polyurethane sealants for construction, silicone and hybrid polymer sealants. It is used in PVC plastisols, tapes/strips, cavity fillers for automotive, acrylic sealants, putties and mastics.

Crilat® P 2744 by Vinavil is an APEO-free, ready-to-use, acrylic water-borne dispersion specifically designed for the production of self-adhesive stickers. It contains surfactants as emulsifying system. Shows good tack, medium adhesion, high cohesion and outstanding PVC plasticizer migration resistance. Provides good mechanical stability. Suitable for pressure sensitive adhesives applications. It is mainly used for paper & filmic labels, specialty tapes and repositionable labels. Crilat® P 2744 has a shelf life of 6 months.
