A SpecialChem Client is looking for cleaning technology for carbon steel pipes in the field during pre-commissioning.

Background

Cleaning of steel pipes in the field during commissioning of big piping systems is very time consuming when using conventional methods like acid pickling, neutralizing and flushing.
A more efficient, cost effective technology (where less equipment is needed for instance) would be extremely valued by the SpecialChem Client).

Detailed Solution Description

Pipe systems are built in the field using carbon steel pipes. The pipes are normally welded together. The inside of these pipes need to be cleaned before taken into use, ensuring that no rust, slag or other contaminants remain in the pipe system.
  • Pipe sizes used are from 20mm to 400mm
  • Length can be up to tens of meters
  • At atmospheric conditions

  • Coating easing the cleaning.

  • Pickling with conventional acid & flushing
