Detailed Solution Description

We are looking for partners to help develop applications and commercialize these molecules.
Terpineol is a monocyclic monoterpenoid alcohol that can be easily functionalized to provide a variety of chemical building blocks for the polymer industry.

Its structure suggests achieving light color, excellent heat stability, and compatibility with many other monomers in low molecular weight thermoplastics.

Excellent wetting, tack and adhesion properties make Terpineol a perfect ingredient for adhesives.

Terpineol – a perfect starting material in a variety of additives for adhesive formulations:
  • Polyterpenes: (co)tackifiers for Hot-Melts and PSA
  • Styrenated terpenes: providing light color, low odor, and resistance to oxidation and discoloration, excellent peel adhesion to premium EVA, acrylics, SBR, SIS, and SBS adhesives.
  • Aromatic modified polyterpenes and terpene phenolic resins: compatibility with high polarity polymers for Hot- Melts and PSA
Consistent with our collaborative approach to innovation we are looking for interested partners to test, provide feedback, and become early adopters of these molecules.
