Metal replacement contributes to the global effort to reduce CO2 emissions by providing customized sustainable polymer solutions, with many advantages including light weighting, cost savings, greater freedom of design, function integration and corrosion resistance. Imerys Graphite & Carbon supplies high performance and cost-effective additives for polymer solutions for metal replacement applications

TIMREX® C-THERM™ is a family of high aspect ratio graphites with outstanding properties:

  • high thermal conductivity at low loadings, typically half the loading compared to standard graphites
  • high electrical conductivity, comparable to that of conductive carbon blacks
  • lubrication and wear resistance
  • gas and moisture barrier properties

Imerys Graphite & Carbon latest developments, TIMREX® C-THERM™ MAX HD and C-THERM™ PLUS HD are coarser, higher density C-THERM™ graphites designed to improve performance as well as handling and processing. Thanks to larger particle size and higher apparent density, higher thermal conductivity, maximum loading, compound fluidity and production output are achieved.
