Dr. Himanshu Patel
Global Program Director
Himanshu Patel joined Birla Carbon over 7 years ago after working at Continental Tire in Germany, responsible for body compounds and sealant technologies. Himanshu started his career with Birla Carbon in Europe as Technical Service Manager and then moved to Birla Carbon Headquarters in USA as Technical Manager for Europe and Americas. In 2018 he took over the role of Global Program Director for Specialty Blacks. In his current role, he manages global investment projects along with overseeing the new product development process for specialty blacks.
Dr. Deepak Tandon
Global Segment Director – Plastics
Deepak Tandon joined Birla Carbon over 20 years ago. He started his career at Columbian Chemicals (acquired by Birla Carbon in 2011) in the technology center and later moved into new product development. In 2009 he took over the role of Technology Head, Specialty Blacks. Last year he took over the role of Global Segment Director – Plastics. As part of his role, he is working on identifying current and future customer challenges and requirements and initiating the related development work at Birla Carbon.
