Actual demand of cable industry is growing for HFFR compounds complying with global standards and suitable for new markets and applications.

Fast growing demand of long-life cables for green energy production (photovoltaic and wind power) and green mobility (EV cables) has launched a strong competition between different insulation and sheathing materials, and represents a difficult challenge for halogen-free flame-retardant compounds in terms of:

  • Electrical properties
  • Thermal properties
  • Resistance to ageing at high temperatures and under atmospheric agents
  • Resistance to extreme conditions (crack resistance at tropical and polar temperature)

For the 3rd year in a row, Silma’s webinar presents new grades of SILMASTAB and SILMALINK, chemical solutions for compounds for cables. And specifically, for:

  • Hydrophobization
  • Polymer-hydrated fillers coupling
  • Ambient curing crosslinking

Watch this recorded webinar where the action of SILMASTAB and SILMALINK for thermoplastics and silane-crosslinked HFFR compounds will be described, with many chemical details and few practical examples, showing benefits and extension of performances of traditional compounds based on ATH and MDH.
