Firebrake® ZB

Firebrake® ZB by U.S. Borax (Rio Tinto) is zinc borate-based flame retardant, smoke and afterglow suppressant and anti-arcing agent. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is compatible with polyvinyl chloride, nylon, epoxy, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyesters, thermoplastic elastomers and rubbers.</li> <li>It can be fed to extruders, calanders and injection molding equipment.</li> <li>Firebrake® ZB by U.S. Borax (Rio Tinto) can be used in systems requiring high processing temperatures because releases its water of hydration at temperatures exceeding 290°C.</li> <li>In halogen-containing systems, the usage level of Firebrake® ZB is in the range of 3-25 parts per 100 parts of resin (phr).</li> <li>The recommended usage level in halogen-free systems is in therange of 10-25 phr and used in conjunction with alumina trihydrate, magnesium hydroxide, or silicone polymer.</li>
