About Tronox

Tronox was founded in 2005 (spun off from Kerr-McGee) and is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. It is a global producer of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) pigment and mineral sands. Tronox supplies rutile and anatase TiO₂ pigments produced via chloride and sulfate processes. These act as white pigments and functional additives, delivering exceptional brightness, opacity, tint strength, UV resistance, weatherability, and processability in thermoplastics, masterbatches, compounds, PVC, polyolefins, and engineering polymers. They enhance whiteness, durability, and long-term stability in plastics for packaging, automotive, construction, and consumer goods applications.
