CASABOND™ TX by Thomas Swan is a solution of polymeric isocyanate with low viscosity.

It is added to the rubber dough prior to use (up to 8 hours maximum) and the bond is formed during normal vulcanization.

It has a limited pot life.

It is based on polychloroprene and chlorinated rubbers.

It is useful in solvent-based dips to a variety of synthetic textiles.

CASABOND™ TX has a shelf life of 12 months.

CASABOND™ E-LA by Thomas Swan is a new water-based RFL adhesion promoter. It offers a user-friendly, water-based additive for RFL, for use in single-dip and double-dip applications.

It exhibits excellent resistance to settling in a dip-tank.

It shows excellent adhesion to a wide range of elastomers after vulcanization.

It provides enhanced handling characteristics and reduced ammonia content.

It is applicable for polyester tyre cords, conveyor belt and V-belt reinforcements.

It is recommended for addition to a resorcinol/formaldehyde/copolymer latex dip (RFL) formulation, to produce a single-stage aqueous dip treatment.

CASABOND™ E-LA has a shelf life of 12 months.

CASABOND™ 1202 by Thomas Swan acts as an adhesion promoter and can be formulated into systems based on natural rubber, SBR, BR, NBR, EPDM, CR and blends of NR/SBR, NR/BR and BR/SBR.

It improves handling, dispersion as well as reduces energy consumption and fuming.

It enhances adhesion to brass- and zinc-coated steel during vulcanization and direct bonding to textiles such as rayon, nylon and polyester, as well as glass and aromatic fibers.

It requires the presence of a methylene donor such as hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) or hexamethoxymethylmelamine (HMMM).

It is used in hoses (textile or wire reinforced-hydraulic/oil suction/ discharge hoses), belting (textile or wire reinforced-conveyor-/transmission-/V-belting), tyres (textile or wire reinforced- passenger/truck/aircraft tyres (both cross-ply and radial)) and rubberized fabrics (protective clothing, tarpaulins, diaphragms with synthetic, woven fibers).

Its recommended dosage level is 3.0-4.0 pphr along with 1.5-2.0 pphr of hexamethylene-tetramine.

To improve further bond strength, 10.0-15.0 pphr of reinforcing silica can be added.

CASABOND™ 1202 has a shelf life of 24 months.

CASABOND™ 1203 by Thomas Swan acts as an adhesion promoter and can be formulated into systems based on natural rubber, SBR, BR, NBR, EPDM, CR and blends of NR/SBR, NR/BR and BR/SBR.
