Aktiplast® 8 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a highly effective peptizing agent for the de-polymerization of NR. It also functions as a processing promoter. It reduces their weight and decreases viscosity. It accelerates the mastication process, which leads to energy and time saving. It finds application in tires and technical goods. Recommended dosage level of Aktiplast® 8 in NR is 0.05-0.3 pbw at 80-170°C, synthetic isoprene rubber is 0.05-0.3 pbw at 80-150 °C and in SBR and BR is 1.0-2.0 pbw at 130-150 °C. It has a shelf life of 2 years. Aktiplast® by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a peptizer for natural- and isoprene rubber as well as for their blend with other synthetic rubbers. It also functions as processing promoter for synthetic rubber and activator with delayed action. It prolongs the scorch time and serves as a dispersing agent for all fillers. It has a shelf life of 3 years. Aktiplast® ST by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a dispersant and lubricant for highly filled synthetic diene rubber compounds. It also exhibits excellent behavior in carbon black compounds. It improves filler dispersion, scorch safety and wet grip property. It reduces energy consumption during extrusion, mixing and processing viscosities. Aktiplast® ST is suitable for compounds containing high-activity silica like tire treads, technical molded articles. It has a shelf life of 3 years and recommended dosage level is 3-5 phr. Aktiplast® MS by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a multi-functional processing promoter for diene rubber, mainly based on NR, IR and blends of NR/IR. It decreases the batch viscosity of rubber products, due to the activating effect of the filler substance. In this additive, higher molecular weight zinc soaps allow faster incorporation of fillers. Aktiplast® MS reduces the mixing cycle time and improves the rheological features in rubber and blends. It enhances the handling of batches with high filler content and decreases the related processing problems with a higher filler content. Recommended dosage level is 1-3 phr. It has a shelf life of 2 years. Aktiplast® M by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a processing promoter designed for tires, rubber-to-metal bonding, natural rubber and blends of natural rubber. It exhibits viscosity reducing effect in natural and isoprene rubber and their compounds. It shows favorable effect on the filler dispersion, as a result of the improved solubility of the fatty acid zinc salts in the rubber. In the temperature range from 60-150°C, the reduction of viscosity is obtained by a combination of specially selected fatty acids in zinc salts with a metal complex as activator. A special advantage of this additive is the saving of one mixing step, as there is no storage time of the masticated rubber required. The mastication effect of Aktiplast® M is stopped by the addition of carbon black or fillers. Recommended dosage level in NR, IR, BR is 2-3 phr. It has a shelf life of 2 years. Aktiplast® PP by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a processing promoter for elastomer compounds such as natural rubber. It decreases the viscosity of compounds based on NR resulting in an easier processing. It leads to higher extrusion rates, better dimensional stability and a constant level of die swell. It provides a good dispersion of the fillers and rubber chemicals in the compound. It enhances scorch behavior, promotes vulcanization and makes de-molding much easier, leaving the mold clean depending on the composition of mixture. It is designed for tires, molded and extruded products and hard rubber. Aktiplast® PP has a shelf life of 3 years and recommended dosage level is 2-3 phr. Aktiplast® F 2635 by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is functions as a peptizer and processing promoter for rubber. It is suitable for the mastication of natural- and synthetic rubber as well as of blends at high temperatures, since it counteracts the possible cyclization of the polymer like SBR. It delays scorch and reduces mixing time. It also acts as dispersing agent for all compounding ingredients, active carbon blacks and light colored reinforcing fillers. It activates vulcanization due to its zinc content. It improves the flow characteristics of the uncured compound and shows favorable influence on the storage stability. It exhibits no adverse effect on rubber-to-metal bonding. Aktiplast® F 2635 finds application in molded and extruded products such as conveyer belts and tire compounds. Recommended dosage level in NR and IR is 1-2 phr, in BR and SBR is 2-3 phr. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
