Addovate® SM is an aqueous solution of fatty acid sulfonate. Acts as an emulsifier/stabilizer for the production of polyurethane polyester flexible slabstock foam, rigid foam as well as a crosslinker for cellular hot casting elastomers. Is used in an aqueous catalyst compound in conjunction with Addocat® DB, Addovate® WM and paraffin oil. It improves the dispersion characteristics of the individual catalyst and reactant components in the mixing chamber. It primarily keeps the crosslinking reaction under control. It also has a stabilizing effect during the foaming phase. It has a shelf life of 6 months. Addovate® EM by LANXESS is a non-ionic emulsifier designed for PUR ester flexible slab-stock foam. It functions as an emulsifier for water, catalyst and polyester polyol. It improves the open-cell structure of foams. It is used in combination with Addovate® EM and small amounts of silicone stabilizers for the production of foam for textile applications. Recommended dosage level is 1-4 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight polyester polyol. It has a shelf life of 12 months. Addovate® Thermostab is an aromatic ester of phosphoric acid. Acts as a sterically hindered antioxidant acting against thermo-oxidative degradation which may occur during processing as a result of thermal, oxidative and mechanical stress. It is non-ionic and also acts as an anti-oxidative radical interceptor (primary antioxidant) due to its sterically hindered molecular structure. It scavenges hydroperoxides without forming colour bodies in a stoichiometrical reaction by forming alcohol, simultaneously oxidising the phosphite to the corresponding phosphate (secondary antioxidant). Compatible with of PC/ABS, PA/ABS, TPU, ABS and PA against thermo-oxidative degradation during processing in the melt. It has a shelf life of 6 months. Addovate® 390 by LANXESS is a non-hydrolyzable silicone stabilizer for the production of PUR rigid foam. It is a very versatile stabilizer of medium to high activity with additional excellent emulsifying properties. The reduction of cell defects and reliable stabilization can be achieved in both slow and fast systems. It can also act as a blowing agent. It finds application in insulations of appliances, pipe insulations, continuously or discontinuously produced panels and cavity foaming. Recommended dosage level is 2 parts by weight on 100 parts by weight polyol. Addovate® 390 has a shelf life of 12 months. Addovate® OM by LANXESS is a dispersant for the production of polyurethane ester flexible slab-stock foam. It is available in brownish liquid form. Addovate® OM has a shelf life of 12 months. Addovate® TX by LANXESS is an ionic emulsifier or stabilizer for the production of PUR ester flexible slab-stock foam. It is used in combination with Addovate® TX to achieve good foaming control resulting in fine cell structure. Recommended dosage level is 1-3 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight polyester polyol. It has a shelf life of 12 months. Addovate®RM is a water-based emulsifier with catalyst. Acts as a dispersant for the production of polyester based flexible slabstock foam in combination with Addovate®WM and Addovate®SM. The amount of this additive to be used depends on the required foam density. The lower the density, the more amount must be used. Too much leads to foams having a more closed-cell structure, or to shrinkage. It has a shelf life of minimum 6months. Addovate® WM by Lanxess is a non-ionic dispersant or emulsifier for the production of PUR ester flexible slab-stock foam. It is used in combination with Addovate® SM. It is designed to homogeneously disperse water, water-insoluble catalysts and paraffin oil in the activator batch and to aid the mixing of reaction components in the mixing chamber. Recommended dosage level is 1-2 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight polyester polyol. It has a shelf life of 24 months. Addovate® TM by Lanxess is an emulsifier/stabilizer used for the production of polyurethane polyester flexible slab-stock foam. It is a sulfonated hydrocarbons and is available in liquid form. Addovate® DD 1092 by Lanxess is a liquid emulsifier and foam stabilizers used for the production of cellular elastomers based on NDI/polyester technology. It retards the foaming reaction. Crosslinking is achieved by evenly stirring the cross-linker into the pre-polymer which has been cooled to about 90°C. Addovate® DD 1092 has a shelf life of 4 months.
