Hydral® Coat 7 by Huber Engineered Materials is hydral precipitated aluminum hydroxide. Acts as a flame retardant. It has a median particle size of 0.7 microns and uniform particle size distribution. Provides excellent processing characteristics as well as superior electrical and mechanical properties. Compatible with thermoplastic or cross-linked polymer compounds, such as polyolefins and their co-polymers, rubber and flexible PVC. Hydral® Coat 7 is suitable for use in compound applications where excellent electrical properties are needed, such as in cable insulation materials. Hydral® 710 by Huber Engineered Materials is a halogen-free, flame retardant and smoke suppressant for thermoset and thermoplastics. It is based on aluminum trihydroxide having an extra-fine, uniform median particle size. Compatible with a full range of paper processing pH levels (4-10) as well as other paper fillers and chemicals. Improves arc-track resistance in many plastics used in electrical applications. When used as fillers, it increases the opacity and brightness of text and cover papers. Hydral® 710 has a lower Einlehner abrasivity for paper applications.
